PLEASE NOTE:  All non-Main Street storefront participants will be assigned a space on Main Street by the Founders Weekend Committee, subject to availability. If you do not register and receive an assigned space, you will not be allowed to participate in the event.





Food Vendors: Taste of Lee

This fee allows participation on both Friday evening and all day Saturday.

  • All food vendors must obtain a separate Tri-Town Health Permit ($25)

  • New zero-waste regulations require that vendors use recyclable or compostable containers.
  • Vendors/participants must be registered prior to event in order to reserve a space.
  • Use the form on the reverse side to indicate your top three choices for spots on Main Street.
  • Spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Each participant will be assigned a specific space in which to operate.
  • This year's Founders Weekend Craft Fair vendors will be located on the front lawn area at Chambery Inn on Main Street.

Preliminary Schedule of events


Taste of Lee; 5:00-8:00 pm*

      Main Street will be closed from Academy Street to Park Street during the event to allow our participants to line the street with their wares and to ensure that attendees can enjoy dining al fresco in a street festival atmosphere - food, music, & fun - in a safe environment. There will be limited parking in this area beginning at 4:00 pm. Musical performances by Housatonic Philharmonic and Moonshine Holler from 5:00-8:00.

 Street Artisans/Craft Fair ~ Friday & Saturday

     Offering Hand-made jewelry; Wood products; paper art; wind chimes; FOOD. At front lawn of Chambery Inn.

CreativeLEE XVI Reception 3:00 - 5:00 pm in the J. Peter Scolforo Gallery at the Lee Library.

   CreativeLEE is the 16th annual exhibit of local art sponsored by the Lee Library Association, 100 Main St. 

Carr Hardware Sidewalk Sale AND Children's Carnival ~ Friday, 5:00-7:00 pm

     Bouncy Houses, Popcorn, Cotton Candy, fun & games! 

Spectrum Playhouse, 7:30 pm

    Saturday Night Liv Variety Show (Liv and troupe will perform)

FIREWORKS ~ At sunset, can be viewed from Main Street. Stay tuned for details!



5K Road Race, 8:15 am

      Runners will be tackling the Finnegan Course at Lee High School. Register for the race by mailing in a completed registration form and $15.00; or in person on race day $20.00. Race day registration will be on the lawn at Lee Middle & High Street at 300 Greylock Street in Lee starting at 7:15 am. (Visit www.leefoundersweekend.com for registration information.)

Hometown Parade, 10:00 am*

      Parade participants will begin assembling at 9:30 am and the parade will step off promptly at 10:00. There will be limited parking on Center Street to allow participants to prepare to march. Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Center Street to the Ice Rink (parade termination site) during the parade (approx. 1 hour). Dick Lindsey will again serve as Master of Ceremonies from in front of the Morgan House.

 Bowey the Clown Magic Show, 11:30 am

      Bowey will perform for local children and offer free face-painting, games, and balloon art at the Lee Athletic Field (behind The Rink on Housatonic Street).

 Big Green Egg Cooking Contest, 11:30 am*

      Sponsored by Henry's Electric (celebrating their 70th anniversary in 2016!) for the benefit of Lee Kiwanis this event will be held at the Gazebo near the DPW garage. Local chefs/restaurants will compete for the title of Best Burger in Lee (non-beef) prepared with a Big Green Egg cooker.

 Carr Hardware BBQ ~ 11:00-2:00 pm

Festival Latino, 2:00-8:00 pm*

      A community festival offering Dance Companies, Folkloric Ballet & Latin American Dance troupes representing the rich cultural traditions and talents from a variety Latin American Countries. Vendors offering a diversity of foods honoring their Latin roots will also be on hand in Church Park throughout the event. Visit http://www.festivallatino.org/ for details.

 Lee Youth Commission Children's Activities - Saturday, 1:00-4:00 at Lee Athletic Field -

    Arts & Crafts, Tennis, games for children, sack races, Skateboard Competition, B-Ball (Kids v. Parents), + more fun events for children!


    Lee Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, 8:00-11:00 am, St. Mary's School

    CTA Vintage Tennis Tournament, 10:00 am, Greenock Country Club
