Preliminary Schedule of events
Taste of Lee; 5:00-8:00 pm*
Main Street will be closed from Academy Street to Park Street during the event to allow our participants to line the street
with their wares and to ensure that attendees can enjoy dining al fresco in a street festival atmosphere - food, music, &
fun - in a safe environment. There will be limited parking in this area beginning at 4:00 pm. Musical performances by Housatonic Philharmonic and Moonshine Holler from 5:00-8:00.
Fair ~ Friday & Saturday
Offering Hand-made jewelry; Wood products; paper art; wind chimes; FOOD. At front lawn of
CreativeLEE XVI Reception 3:00 - 5:00 pm in the
J. Peter Scolforo Gallery at the Lee Library.
CreativeLEE is the 16th annual exhibit
of local art sponsored by the Lee Library Association, 100 Main St.

5K Road Race, 8:15 am
Runners will be tackling the Finnegan
Course at Lee High School. Register for the race by mailing in a completed
registration form and $15.00; or in person on race day $20.00. Race day registration will be on the lawn at Lee
Middle & High Street at 300 Greylock Street in Lee starting at 7:15 am. (Visit www.leefoundersweekend.com for
Hometown Parade, 10:00 am*
Parade participants will begin assembling at 9:30
am and the parade will step off promptly at 10:00. There will be limited parking on Center Street to allow participants to
prepare to march. Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Center Street to the Ice Rink (parade termination site)
during the parade (approx. 1 hour). Dick Lindsey will again serve as Master of Ceremonies from in front of the Morgan House.
Bowey the Clown Magic Show, 11:30 am
Bowey will perform for local children
and offer free face-painting, games, and balloon art at the Lee Athletic Field (behind The Rink on Housatonic Street).
Big Green Egg Cooking Contest, 11:30 am*
Sponsored by Henry's Electric (celebrating their 70th anniversary in 2016!) for the benefit of Lee Kiwanis this
event will be held at the Gazebo near the DPW garage. Local chefs/restaurants will compete for the title of Best Burger in Lee (non-beef) prepared
with a Big Green Egg
Hardware BBQ ~ 11:00-2:00 pm
festival offering Dance Companies, Folkloric Ballet & Latin American Dance troupes representing the rich cultural traditions
and talents from a variety Latin American Countries. Vendors offering a diversity of foods honoring their Latin roots will
